The aim of the tournament is to play Blood Bowl and have fun.
Trambi will be referee during the tournament. He will settle rules questions. Hisr rulings must be enforced and not further discussed.
Any improper behavior (towards a referee, an organiser or another player) will be penalized with a yellow or red card (loss of 5 or 10 tournament points).Remember that we are only playing with toy soldiers and make sure the referees keep their pockets.
The tournament is swiss-style, with a first round drawn at random.
Swiss-style means that, for each game, your current ranking tells who your opponent will be. The following criteria will be applied (in decreasing order of importance) : Touny points/opponent points (excepted the points against you)/TD difference/casualties made.
The following table tells you how many points you earn after a game. This table will be used during the whole tourny and all your points will be added up.
Result | Points |
---|---|
Win | 5 points |
Draw | 3 points |
1-TD loss | 1 point |
Loss with a 2+-TD difference | 0 point |
Conceding | -1 point |
Teams will begin with 1.050.000 gp and will thus have a 105 TR. The races from the 2006 Edition Bloodbowl Handbook are allowed (they are the official teams) + the three new teams :
Normal league rules cannot be used during a tourny. However, teams will earn new skills (this keeps the strategic importance of skill choices) according to the following rules.
This year, you will be allowed to :
All the miniatures used must clearly show the race and position of your players. This is to make things easy for you and your opponent. Please use painted miniatures if possible.
Painting is strongly desired, as it makes live pictures of the event far more interesting.
The normal system is well suited for league play, not to tourny play. Casualties do not carry over to the next game and skills are kept. An apothecary can still be useful during a game.
They are allowed !
Stars are not allowed. Big guys can be picked normally.
They are not allowed. But Halfling cook can be hired by halfling team at 70 000 gp.
You have to use 11 players if possible and as many as possible if not ! Nuffle is watching you.
12 players on the pitch after at least one turn : your opponent picks the player he wants and sends him off ! Illegal procedure and end of turn.
Less than 3 players for a kick-off ? Place as many players as possible on the scrimmage line.
No players left at all ?
So you never have to give up because you are out of players.
The IP rule is not used during the game! Game time is around 2 hours. The 4-minute time limit is not used. To keep a reasonable schedule, referees can stop a game.
In France, a "triplette" is a three players team (usually in game of bowls ).
As the two last editions, we organise a triplette competition. At the beginning of the tournament, you will be invited to choose two other players to form a "Triplette". At the end of the tournament, the three coachs points will be summed and the best "Triplette" will be proclamed Triplette Winner of the RDVBB !
